Turning back the hands of time,
Primeval Whirl is one of the few coaster attractions
in Chester and Hester's
Dino-Rama!, a whimsically time-warped section
in the DinoLand USA. This attraction debuted
in 2002.
Throughout this kid-complementing ride, colorful
rotary time machines transport Walt Disney
World visitors in a quirky time travel back
to a campy primeval world. As one does, theatrical
depictions of meteors and cutouts of dinosaurs
spin and pop up along the track. Hilariously
relevant messages also make appearances along
the track, such as Time's up! The end is near!
and Older than dirt!
Designed by Reverchon, this attraction is
a roller coaster ride with vessels that spin
in circles while traveling on tracks. Thirteen
crescent-shaped vessels can seat up to 4 riders,
posing as time machines".
Some remark that seating would be very tight
for 4 adults.
For what its worth, the ride is categorized
as an off the shelf spinning roller coaster.
It belongs to the Mild But Wild Thrills category,
with speeds reaching up to 29.1
mph. It also has a G-Force gauging 2.5.
Moreover, sudden dips, hairpin turns and tight
curves of this frenzied coaster
await prospective passengers. Each of the
time machine has different rotary dynamics,
such that passengers never anticipate
the same spins. Eventually the ride ends with
a descent into the gaping jaws of a giant
dinosaur fossil. All these transpire on a
lengthy twisting track.
The ride continually loads but slowly does,
hence the long queue.
Guests must not be anywhere under the height
of 48(122 cm) to ride. The rider must not
harbor any significant medical condition.
He or she must also be free from high blood
pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion
sickness, or other conditions that could be
aggravated by this adventure. Expectant mothers
are not allowed to ride.
Guests must transfer from their wheelchair/ECV
to the attraction vessel. Assistive listening
devices are alsospecially offered.
