who may come across Critter Country gets to
have the closest brush with pastoral euphoria
at its finest. Since the theme land is the
designated lair of the critters from the Disney
animated film Song of the South, burrows and
little habitats give the namesake of the land
its worth.
Even though Critter Country is recognized
as the smallest land at Tokyo Disneyland,
its attractive rustic scenery gives Critter
Country an impact larger otherwise. The
themed land is coursed by the Rivers of
America.
Critter Country is best recognized for
being home to one of Tokyo Disneyland's
biggest attractions - Splash Mountain. The
magnificence of its scale notwithstanding,
the attraction is the Country's most prominent
feature, with queues consistently lengthily
present.
Known first as Chick-A-Pin Hill, Splash
Mountain got its moniker after an accident
caused the Beaver Brothers' dam to explode.
The ensuing, never-ending deluge allows
for one riveting ride aboard one of the
Beaver Brothers' hollowed-out boats. This
is based on the jaunts of the frazzled Brer
Rabbit from the animated film. At journey’s
end, guests will have scaled the bone-rattling
length of the flume down to the steepest,
highest and wettest drop in the Park.

the endearing course of the Rivers of America.
Aboard the Beaver Brothers Explorer Canoes,
guests can paddle under the guidance of
explorer-guides while relishing the picturesque
environment of Tom Sawyer Island and Critter
Country.
There are superb dining choices such as
Grandma Sara's Kitchen, a counter-service
restaurant serving home style
delicacies. Dishes served in the bucolic
establishment include tasty items as beef
stew, scallops and shrimp au gratin and
chopped steak among others. The Rackety's
Raccoon Saloon is frequented for menu that
lists tortilla dogs, cookies,
and soft-serve ice cream.
Favorite shopping spots include the Hoot
Holler Hideout which sells Splash
Mountain souvenir items, including lots
of plush dolls of the characters from Song
of the South. In Splashdown Photos
cameras flash without relent - picture-taking
transpires about a quarter of the way down
Splash Mountain's 45° drop. This unique
shop even pumps up the added convenience
of displaying a preview of the captured
picture on a computer screen at no cost
so that guests can decide whether to take
it or not.
